Happy Self Love Day – 5 Benefits of Self Love

Hey Beautiful! It’s been a long time since my last post, I know 😔. There has been a lot that has happened (we’ll talk later) that has led me here. Led me to this journey of rebirth and self-love. Funny enough, I didn’t even know there was such a thing as “Self Love Day” until a few weeks after I planned my Self Love Photoshoot. God is always showing me signs that I am in alignment. Thank you 🙏🏾.

I planned this photoshoot intending to remind you (and myself) that we must love ourselves first before we can love someone else. If you’ve been around for a while, then you know I am intentional. While prepping for this self-love shoot something told me to look up the color that represents self-love. The color pink represents love of self. Pink provides feelings of caring, tenderness, self-worth, and acceptance.

5 Benefits of Self Love

  1. Increased confidence and self esteem
    • When you love and accept yourself for who you are, you naturally become more confident in your abilities and decisions.
  2. Overall better health
    • You are more likely to develop a positive self-image, leading to reduced feelings of anxiety, depression, and self-doubt. People who love themselves tend to engage in healthier lifestyle choices, such as regular exercise, a balanced diet, and sufficient sleep.
  3. Reduces levels of stress
    • When your relationships are healthy, you have high self-esteem and good health; your stress levels are lower.
  4. Intrinsic validation
    • When you practice self-love, you do not seek approval or validation from others.
  5. Increased energy
    • Learning to prioritize your time actually conserves your energy. As you learn to say ‘no’, you make room for the things you actually want to do.

Self-love is not selfish. For you to fully walk in your purpose and to help others, you must first take care of and help yourself. You deserve a beautiful life. 😘🤗😘
